Well hello, Eavesdroppers! This week’s episode goes from boring to bizarre as we look at two weird and whacky religious sects (just don’t call them cults, like Michelle does the whole way through…).

First up? In an effort to find a lighthearted cult where not everyone dies at the end, Michelle talks about The Bruderhof! In this episode she talks about… What they are… Who they are… How they got started… How they’re kind of boring… yawn. Don’t get us wrong, it IS interesting – in the way the Amish are interesting – and all in all they’re a neat little sect where, so far, no body dies. But hang one cotton-pickin’ minute because Geordie has a sect for you that will knock your little silver alien socks off. Yes, she’s scraped the surface of what it is to be RAËLIAN!!! (Almost sounds like alien, right?!)

So… What is Raëlianism? How did it start? Is the leader for real? How did aliens end up in the mix? Did the ex-racing car journalist really nick the whole religion from some obscure sci-fi writers? Is it weirder than Scientology? Are we going to have self-animated fur mops? Is there actually something in Raëlianism that makes sense?  YOU DECIDE!
